3D SERVICES

3D Laser scanning provides a highly accurate and detailed 3D site survey of complex environments. The data is captured quickly using a 3D scanner with up to a million points of measurement per scan. The more complex a site is, the more scans will be required – these scans are then processed to build a point cloud file of the 3D image. Point clouds can then be used to produce 2D floor plans and 3D BIM (Building Information Models).

Using 3D laser scan surveys in your design process can typically speed up project lead times by up to ten times. View in a full 3D point cloud, 360-degree HDR images or even in Infrared. A point cloud 3D model is a very powerful tool that can save time and more importantly costs. With a 3D laser scan survey there is no need to revisit site to double check measurements or other details that may have been overlooked at the original site survey, simply use the convenient measurement tool available in the free viewing software. As well as the measurement tool there are a host of tools available to simply take the required data straight from the 3D image. Other great tools are available such as a slicing tool which allows viewing in cross section, perfect for creating highly accurate floor plans and BIM.

2D Floor Plans and BIM

3D laser scan with 2D floor plan - we can convert your 3D scan data to a 2D floor plan for you. We can also provide you with elevations and 3D BIM model which can be viewed in CAD or in free viewing software.
